I should like to tell of my first healing in Christian Science, which was of a serious condition in my feet. There were days when I was not able to be on my feet at all. I had been to several physicians and two specialists in New York. One doctor said it was diabetes; another, muscular rheumatism; and another, broken arches. They all said that it was incurable, and that I should end my days in a wheel chair.

We had some friends who were interested in Christian Science, but we knew almost nothing about it. We had been to the church once, however, and in our extremity my husband asked: "Why don't you try Science? Your doctors have done you no good." So I went to a practitioner, who began to work for me. I got Mrs. Eddy's books and read them, but I did not understand them. Apparently I was getting no help from the treatments, but after many weeks I woke up one morning healed. I went to the practitioner and said, "The pain is all gone, but I know it will return." He said, "It will never return, because really it was never there!" The healing was permanent.

I am more grateful than I can say for Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Winifred S. Fouts, Northampton, Massachusetts.
