I became a student of Christian Science more than fifty years ago, when my sister was healed of severe spinal trouble. During this time I have been healed of many ills of the flesh, among them kidney trouble, skin irritation, coughs, and colds. The fact that most of these years I have enjoyed good health is to me a clear demonstration of what a knowledge of Christian Science will do when we shape our lives in harmony with its teachings. I am grateful to say that now I am well and am directing a very active business.

During all these years I have had no other help, no other guide in all my affairs, than that supplied by this Science. My desire is best expressed in the words of Mary Baker Eddy in her poem "Christ My Refuge" (Poems, p. 13):

"My prayer, some daily good to do
To Thine, for Thee;
An offering pure of Love, whereto
God leadeth me."
