Sunday School Notes and Comments
I always endeavor to know that God is the only teacher, and to go to the class with an open, expectant thought, ready to be taught of God. In my class of older girls the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly are studied, and from time to time I introduce the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes. The girls are encouraged to take in turn a portion of the Lesson and give the class their thoughts on the subjects presented.
Occasionally we talk together about Mrs. Eddy. It is imperative that they should all give our Leader her rightful place in the movement and in the world.
Unbroken attendance is encouraged, and I strive to let nothing interfere with my own attendance. I keep before me the thought that the pupils are the future workers in our movement, and that as they gain a true understanding of Christian Science, and are not content to have just a belief in it, they will prove themselves to be useful workers. At the present time there are twelve of these girls on our church membership roll, doing active work.
