I first looked into Christian Science through an intellectual thirst for the truth, but when I was instantaneously healed of grief through the loving work of a Christian Science neighbor, I began to study in earnest. I studied the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, subscribed for the periodicals, and soon found myself freed from threatened invalidism and restored to an active and vigorous career. I have had ample proof for nearly twenty years that Christian Science heals, and have experienced its unfailing guidance, protection, and healing in illness, accidents, sorrow, and the various other problems that claim to beset human experience. I am especially grateful for the healing of chronic anxiety. Like Martha I was "careful and troubled about many things," but through Christian Science I am learning how to obey the command of the Master, "Be not afraid." I am learning, too, something of the secret of that joy which Christ Jesus so radiantly expressed in his mission among men, and which comes through the spiritual understanding of infinite Love.

The periodicals have always brought me much inspiration, encouragement, and healing. Not a day passes without new occasion for gratitude for our daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, and my appreciation of its value grows steadily. Above all, I am most humbly thankful for the life of our great Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and for her Christlike humility, obedience, and love.—(Mrs.) Mildred Lowrie Curtis, New York, New York.
