About sixteen years ago I was taken seriously ill with what the doctor called overworked nerves or nervous breakdown. He suggested that I leave my office at once for a complete rest. I did go to California for about two months, but came back feeling the same as I did when I left. Then, through the kind recommendations of my family, but under protest, I went to see a practitioner, and had a lovely healing a few days later. I always think of myself as one of the nine lepers referred to in the Bible, who walked away without giving God any praise. During the next ten years, however, if any spoke to me of ill-health, I generally recommended that they try Christian Science. I knew it would help them.

Six years ago last November I was taken seriously ill. The doctor was called, and I was rushed to the hospital. X rays were taken, and I was informed that I had an abdominal tumor, which would have to be operated upon at once. Here is where Christian Science stepped in. I practically ran out of the hospital, called the same practitioner, and on Thanksgiving morning I was healed. Every day has been Thanksgiving Day from that morning on.

For what has been done for me I can never be grateful enough to God; to the Way-shower; to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of this most wonderful religion; and to a loving, faithful, and untiring practitioner.
