My attention has just been directed to a letter in which the writer has referred to Christian Science. It is plain that your correspondent is not sufficiently informed on the subject. Space in your publication is respectfully requested for a brief reply.

The Scriptures reveal that Christian healing is by no means a new doctrine. Moses, the ancient lawgiver, the record shows, cast his rod "on the ground, and it became a serpent" from which he fled. The Lord bade him come back, "and take it by the tail," and we read that "it became a rod in his hand."

Thrusting his hand into his bosom, Moses, upon withdrawing it, found it white as snow with leprosy. Repeating the simple process he was healed of the dread disease, thereby establishing another sure "sign." This is only illustrative of many signs and wonders, as recorded in the older Scriptures, which set forth the marvelous works of Elijah, Elisha, and others.
