I want to express my sincere gratitude for the many healings which I have had through the understanding and application of Christian Science, which was brought us by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

Some time ago, while doing distribution work in one of our churches, I had the following experience. I started for my work one morning, and as I came down the steps, I was stricken with pain in my heart. The pain seemed so severe that I paused for a moment, and mortal mind began to suggest several things that might happen to me.

I stood there in silent communion with God, well knowing that He would guide me aright; and the answer came ringing in my ear, Why, are you not about your Father's business, and will He not take care of you? With this loving message I started on my way, pondering the truths that came to me. Love said to me, In a heart full of truth and love there is no room for pain of any description. I well knew that God was taking care of me, and I had no fear. I began to search my thoughts to see what I was entertaining, and I found resentment, hate, ill will. Then I began to clear out this rubbish; I began to see my true self and that of others as God's perfect creation, reflecting all the Godlike qualities; I became conscious of my at-one-ment with God. The pain ceased, and when I arrived at the streetcar, which was three blocks away, I was entirely free.
