Christian Science heals

Christian Science heals. In support of this statement I relate the healing which brought me into Christian Science, with the sincere hope that it may be read by others seeking relief and lead them to learn that their search can be brought to a successful conclusion by turning to the teachings of Christ Jesus, as elucidated by the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and her other writings.

Over thirteen years ago I was healed of chronic alcoholism of which I had been a victim for over seventeen years. After about a fortnight's treatment by a Christian Science practitioner, the craving for liquor left me. Since that time I have enjoyed good health, whereas previously I had had to be periodically absent from my work.

I did not immediately begin earnest study of this Science, but read the textbook spasmodically. All the time, however, my thought was being leavened, and a few years later I was accepted as a member of The Mother Church and also of a branch church. Since then I have had the great privilege of class instruction.
