It is with a heart full of gratitude to God for His unfailing help at all times, and to our dear Leader for making it possible for each one of us to follow more closely in the footsteps of the Master, that I write this testimony.

Before hearing of Christian Science, eight years ago, I had undergone two serious operations for mastoid trouble and paralysis, and upon visiting a specialist for treatment I was told that I should have to have a double operation. which he said might prove fatal. I was very much disturbed at this opinion, and it was at this dark hour that we heard of Christian Science. We secured the help of a practitioner, and in a very short time I had complete release from pain.

In August, 1938, the same trouble tried to make itself known again in a severe form. For a few days I was hardly able to touch my ear. Fear tried to come in, until I realized that I must "stand porter at the door of thought" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 392). I got in touch with a practitioner, who lovingly began treatment, and in one week all pain and swelling had completely vanished. The discharge stopped a few days later. My heart was and is full to overflowing for this healing.
