Christian Science has been my only physician for many years. I am specially grateful that Christian Science is prophylactic as well as therapeutic in its power, for during these years there have been more preventive than curative experiences.

Mrs. Eddy's words in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 393), "Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good," have helped me to cast out the first suggestions of discord on many occasions. In this way symptoms of rheumatism, blood poisoning, neuritis, deafness, and several other difficulties have disappeared.

On a few occasions the work of a loving practitioner has helped to prove the nothingness of evil. The most tenacious of these ills was a case of functional heart trouble combined with insomnia. Fear tried to paint pictures of the possible consequences of this trouble. But the baptism of Love finally cast out fear. After three months of Christian Science treatment I was completely healed, and the omnipotence of God was demonstrated.
