Praying before Planning

Human planning without seeking divine guidance in formulating plans is frequently found to be not only futile, but quite detrimental to progress along right lines. Who has not had the experience of making definite plans, entirely from the standpoint of human wisdom, only to find them set aside or reversed by circumstances or conditions unforeseen? As Burns puts it,

"The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men,
Gang aft a-gley."
