The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, announces a free public lecture on Christian Science by Frank Bell, C.S.B., a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, in the Church Edifice, Norway, Falmouth, and St. Paul Streets, on Monday evening, September 25, 1939, at 7.45 o'clock. The public is cordially invited.
The date for holding the annual Thanksgiving service in Christian Science churches in the United States of America is determined by the proclamation of the Governor of each state. Thanksgiving Day will be observed at The Mother Church. The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, on such date as may be designated in his proclamation by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Branches of The Mother Church elsewhere in the United States should hold the Thanksgiving service on the day set apart by proclamation of the Governors of their respective states. In accordance with established custom, outside the United States the branches of The Mother Church will hold a Thanksgiving service on the day locally observed or selected, at which is read the "Lesson for Thanksgiving Day" that is included in the Christian Science Quarterly for the last quarter of each year.
