It is with joy and gratitude that I add my testimony to the ever-increasing number which come from those who are learning that Christian Science is the revelation of Truth. Since early childhood I have known no other teaching, and my gratitude for the guidance and protection it has given me is unbounded. I am most grateful for the experiences which forced me to a more conscientious study of our Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly.

Not until after our first child was born did I join The Mother Church and a branch church, and I have always been most grateful for the freedom I was given to work out this step for myself. For this reason, church membership has never meant less to me than the deepest obligation to follow Christ, and every activity in which I have shared has been seen as an opportunity to spiritualize thought. Our three children were born harmoniously at home with Christian Science treatment. When the last child was born, it was an hour before anyone but my husband was able to come to me, and that inspiring hour stands out in my life. Never had I felt less bound to matter or closer to God. This experience proved to my husband and to me that "with God all things are possible." I felt no sense of having been "through" anything, and I longed to attend church services the second day, but it did not seem wise to do so. However, my joy was so great that on the fifth day I went to church, protected by the consciousness of Love's ever-presence.

We have had numerous physical healings, such as that of a large burn on the leg, from which no scar remains; speedy recovery from the removal of an impacted wisdom tooth; a quick healing and no scar after a rusty nail was run into the foot; a sprained ankle, which was healed within two days; and an instantaneous healing of a child who was in a feverish condition. These healings have all been inspiring, but the uplift at times of separation, death, or lack has meant much more to me. To know that every problem has a solution, which can be worked out in Christian Science, is to realize how abundantly we may enjoy its fruits, and I deem it a privilege and an obligation to apply my highest understanding of Truth in every situation. "By their fruits ye shall know them." I earnestly desire that my deeds, rather than my words, may help others to realize the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Helen Lucy Veatch Sutherland, River Forest, Illinois.
