A little over nine years ago I was healed overnight of a nervous breakdown. At the time of this healing I knew nothing about Christian Science, but there seemed to be no other help for me, and, upon the earnest insistence of a very dear friend, I visited a Christian Science practitioner.

I awoke the morning after my visit to find myself a completely changed person. I had been lifted out of a world of darkness, gloom, and despair into one of sunshine, light, and happiness. This improved condition continued, and I knew that nothing but the power of God could have brought about so remarkable a change. I also remembered that the practitioner had asked me to get a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and read it. Words can never explain the light, peace, joy, harmony, and happiness which flooded my being as I read that book. I fairly devoured it. The healing was permanent, and so complete that friends meeting me on the street hardly knew me.

I have been an earnest student of Christian Science from that time on, applying it to every form of error that has presented itself. There have been many other healings, some with the help of a practitioner, and others through my own understanding. One healing was the overcoming of resentment; others were of mastoiditis and influenza; and I experienced wonderful protection in an accident.
