It is with a heart full of gratitude to our Father-Mother God and to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, that I desire to add this testimony to the myriads already given, in the hope that it will be of some benefit to another seeker after the truth which makes free. I was led to Christian Science by a business acquaintance who was not a Christian Scientist. I had been suffering from the effects of a severe attack of pneumonia, and was unable to walk more than a few steps. At the same time, I had a recurrence of a chronic throat affection, which, during the previous seven or eight years had resulted in practically total loss of voice. In previous years, I had been subjected to various kinds of medical treatment from throat and nerve specialists in England, on the Continent, and in Canada, experiencing much pain from the condition, and little alleviation.

I had been in this sorry state for several weeks, when a practitioner was called on my behalf. In a very short time, I was able to talk a little over the telephone to her, and, in about a fortnight, was able to walk two or three blocks to her home. In less than two months, my throat was quite normal, and there has been no recurrence of the seeming affection, though it is now ten years since the healing took place.

Since my first healing I have had many other demonstrations of the healing efficacy of this wonderful Science, including those of supply, protection for loved ones when traveling, and the overcoming of sorrow when my dear mother and husband passed on, quite unexpectedly, within a short time of each other.
