From Letters, Substantially as Published

As reported in a recent issue, a clergyman discussed the problem of human suffering. In the course of his remarks, he said that it was not unfair to say that Christian Science did not face the facts, although he admitted it had achieved wonderful results.

The discovery of Christian Science took place just over seventy years ago, and in the intervening years unnumbered living witnesses have sprung up who can testify to its power to heal sickness and sin in their many forms. The Wednesday evening meetings held in Christian Science churches, at which members of the congregation testify to their healing through spiritual means, are open to the public, and thus anyone may gain first-hand knowledge from those who have been healed.
