God's Government

Man lives in action, ceaseless and serene,
Which comes from God and shows His government
As tender, kindly, and omnipotent.
Such ordered calm of holy peace is seen
Throughout the universe of Mind, that e'en
Traversing matter's mist the Word is sent
To bring, through healing sure, Love's great intent:
All consciousness from error purged and clean.

Nor sin, nor erring will, for long can stay
This coming of the Christ to consciousness,
For universe and man reflect alone
The government of God; naught can gainsay
His law and power to save and heal and bless,
And show us what we are in truth—His own.
