One day I experienced such severe pain in the heel of my left foot that I could hardly stand on it. Immediately I tried to reverse the testimony of the physical senses, and every day thereafter, almost with every step I endeavored to the best of my ability to see my true self as the perfect child of God. However, the condition grew gradually worse until it had affected the entire foot, the ankle, and ankle bone. I admit that many times I was very much discouraged, but I persistently clung to the truth, and searched my thought for any hidden error.

Then I attended a Christian Science lecture given in this city. After the lecture I tried to apply the truths I had heard, and thought, "Am I grateful enough that God is good?" I frequently counted my blessings, and several days later I noticed that my foot did not hurt any more. I immediately wondered when it had stopped hurting, and realized that I had been healed during the lecture.

We have had numerous proofs in our home, sometimes with the loving help of a practitioner, and sometimes through the application of our own understanding, that Christian Science heals. I am very grateful for all of these healings.
