I wish to express my gratitude for a healing which took place in our home some time ago.

In the opening words of the Preface to Science and Health (p. vii) Mrs. Eddy says, "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." I am grateful that during a testing time we in our home did lean "on the sustaining infinite."

One day my mother was taken suddenly ill. I held to the truth, as taught in Christian Science, and did my best to handle fear in my own consciousness, but the error seemed to continue. I asked that a Christian Science practitioner be sent for. A doctor, who had been called by my husband, was very kind, but said my mother had had a stroke, and that we should have a long and trying time. After he left, the Christian Science practitioner came, and I shall never forget the peace and calm which came into our home. Error that day was spoken to with power and authority. My mother had a peaceful sleep and awoke well and happy.
