I am very grateful for a healing which took place about five years ago.

After a serious motor accident, our boy was taken to a hospital. We were sent for late at night, and advised to let him rest there until the following morning. However, when we telephoned to the doctor the next morning about his release, we were informed that an X ray had been taken, and that a serious operation within twenty-four hours was absolutely necessary. Permission to operate was withheld, and mental work was taken up with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. In less than a week he was released from the hospital without a surgical operation of any kind, although further X rays were taken to satisfy the consulting physicians. There has been no return of the trouble; the healing was complete.

I am very grateful for the little understanding I have of Christian Science. It is a great help in time of trouble. The forty-sixth Psalm was a great comfort to us during the period of our son's illness. Our son's friend, who had been driving, passed on, and daily there were very alarming newspaper reports, radio broadcasts, and numerous anxious telephone calls, but we were able to rebuke all error with a quiet, calm trust and confidence, knowing that all is well in God's kingdom. Nothing was neglected; we were able to attend to all business and household duties in the usual manner; also literature distribution work, a church activity in which I am grateful to participate.
