Deep gratitude impels me to testify to the following healing.

When our little child was two months old she suffered from improper nutrition. All kinds of artificial nourishment, as well as all possible remedies which various doctors recommended to us, were of no avail. Finally the doctors told me that their skill was exhausted, and that I should put the child in a children's hospital, a prospect which worried me beyond words. There, too, I was given no more hope. The doctors were puzzled; X rays, and all the newest possible experiments, shed no light on the case. The infant could retain no nourishment, and at the age of four months weighed about half a pound less than at birth. Our anxiety for the child was very great, and in our extreme distress I begged God for His help. As an answer to this petition I was inspired with a wonderful hope.

In this time of distress a dear relative of mine called my attention to Christian Science. In a rather discouraged mood, as a result of many unfruitful experiments, I let her ask a Christian Science practitioner for help, which was gladly given. To my great joy, after the very first treatment our child was able to retain a few grams of nourishment. It required much spiritual work and selfless patience on the part of the practitioner to lift the child out of the deep error and save her. But omnipotent Truth was victorious! Our dear little child was healed. Divine Love, which possesses all power, was her deliverer. For that I shall thank God, the source of all good, from the bottom of my heart as long as I live, and also for having led me through Christian Science to the truth. Our child is now eleven years old and is a healthy, joyous girl.
