Topic: The Unselfish Life

[Rt. Rev. James E. Freeman, D. D., Bishop of Washington, in the Herald, Calgary, Alberta, Canada]

Holiness means wholeness, a life symmetrically developed. Such a life must be beautiful, using that term in its best sense. It applies to men as to women. There is nothing weak about a life made whole and strong, whole and strong on every count, physical, mental, and spiritual. Such a life has all the elements that constitute beauty.

Wholeness of life contemplates the recognition of those things that contribute to character, and this means the adornment and enrichment of life through the acceptance and practice of deep moral spiritual principles.
