I am fourteen years of age, but do not live sufficiently close to a Christian Science church or society to attend Sunday school. Through the kindness of friends I was able to pay a brief visit to the Auckland Christian Science church and Sunday school, and I gained a good deal of understanding during that time.

Through the study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly and the reading of the Christian Science literature, which I am grateful to be able to purchase, I have been enabled to gain a practical understanding which I have found a help in time of trouble.

I wish to express heartfelt gratitude for the following proof of God's care. Soreness and stiffness came in my neck and shoulders, pulling my head to one side so that I was forced to lie down. This was accompanied by a very severe pain in the back of my head and vomiting. I asked God's guidance and opened the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. After pondering for a while on the subject I found, I rose healed. But the trouble returned in about six hours. I had another instantaneous healing, but after a few hours the symptoms began again. Each occasion was more severe. My mother recommended telephoning to a practitioner. I did not feel it should be done, for felt confident of my own understanding, but as my mother wished it, I consented. My father telephoned through to Auckland and received no answer. It was decided to try again the next morning, if necessary. I arose the next morning completely healed, and the error never returned again.
