I should like to share with all mankind the many blessings...
I should like to share with all mankind the many blessings I have enjoyed since coming into Christian Science. Words alone can never express my deep gratitude to God for some measure of spiritual understanding.
Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." I had suffered from many internal disorders, which had been pronounced incurable by the doctors. Three vertebrae in my spine were out of place, and I was given up by the osteopaths as incurable. For sixteen years I had been unable to walk without a surgical belt, while for many years I had taken medicine for liver, heart, and kidney complaints, and for about twelve years had lived continuously on fruit and nuts, under the mistaken belief that it was God's will that I should be in this bondage. Through the loving guidance, help, and patience of a practitioner, in conjunction with my own study of Science and Health and Mrs. Eddy's other writings, my healing was completed in six weeks, and it is now difficult to believe that I ever suffered.
I thank God with all my heart for the physical healings, and for being able to lead, as I had always longed to do, an active, joyous life; but I am much more grateful for that which is revealed to us through the understanding of God as our Father-Mother Love; for the purification of thought, the overcoming of many phases of self, and for having proved that "they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." During the last three years I have indeed known the more abundant life.
