Christian Science has aided me through countless difficulties,...
Christian Science has aided me through countless difficulties, therefore I wish to express my gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy for her patient, loving work in making this beautiful truth available to the entire world. It was a joyous day for me when I caught a glimpse of the meaning of the following passage from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy (p. 45): "Glory be to God, and peace to the struggling hearts! Christ hath rolled away the stone from the door of human hope and faith, and through the revelation and demonstration of life in God, hath elevated them to possible at-one-ment with the spiritual idea of man and his divine Principle, Love." This gave me a better understanding of the statement in I John, "Now are we the sons of God."
Through the application of the truth as taught in Christian Science many serious illnesses have been overcome and I have been sustained through many trying circumstances. When I was in inharmonious surroundings, through mentally rising above the inharmony I was lifted out of the place, not as the result of any physical step of my own, but by the working of God's perfect law of adjustment. Sorrow has been healed and supply manifested; and I am convinced that if this beautiful truth is understandingly applied and faithfully adhered to, problems of every name and nature will vanish into their native nothingness.
One of my first healings was that of frequent attacks of lumbago, which always confined me to bed for a week or ten days. This ailment was healed overnight the first time it presented itself after I had started the study of Christian Science; and I have never had another attack.
