The report in a recent issue of a statement by a clergyman contains misleading references to Christian Science.

This clergyman classes Christian Science, with other religious denominations and philosophies, which he describes as "wrecking social and moral life today."

Such a statement does not bear witness to the good fruits of Christian Science, and of the church founded by its Discoverer, Mary Baker Eddy, "a church designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing" (Church Manual, p. 17).

Christian Scientists are indeed proving that this church is founded upon the Rock—Christ. The Wednesday testimony meetings, held in all branch churches of the denomination, show the clergyman's statement in question to be erroneous. They show that the teachings of Christian Science, in entire accordance with those of Christ Jesus, are immensely improving, not only the health, but also the social and moral life of all who faithfully follow them. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (pp. 348, 349) Mrs. Eddy states, "If such are the present fruits, what will the harvest be, when this Science is more generally understood?"
