I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science. Those with whom I doctored for a long time, without getting any help, wanted to operate on me, but I did not consent to that. I hardly knew what to do next. A woman was helping me, because I was not able to do my work. She told me about a religion that heals the sick through prayer; so one day after a visit from her I called a Christian Science practitioner and asked her if she would come to see me, which she did. We sat together for a while, and I was instantaneously healed. At once I went on my way praising God for His great love.

After this healing, I went to the Christian Science church and studied the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly for some time. Then we moved to a small town where there was no church. I seemed to lose interest, for a while, in the study of this Science, but the good seed was sown. I was not satisfied with anything else. So now I am a member of The Mother Church and also of the nearest branch church, which is thirty miles away.

We have had healings of smallpox, measles, double pneumonia, and many other difficulties. I am deeply grateful for these healings and for the practitioners who have helped me along the way. I am grateful that Mary Baker Eddy has given this blessed truth to the world, and for this religion which reveals God as ever-present and omnipotent good.
