Acquaint Thyself with God

"Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee."—Job 22:21.

Acquaint thyself with God, and be at peace;
So shall all striving cease.
Within the perfect Mind
No sorrow shalt thou find—
From sin, and pain, and death a sure release.

Acquaint thyself with God and thou shalt know,
Life in abundance flow,
Quickening each dull desire
With Truth's immortal fire,
A flame that makes the dying embers glow.

Acquaint thyself with God and thou shalt find
The one eternal Mind;
One sight, one vision clear,
One ever-hearing ear
That meet all human needs—forever kind.

Acquaint thyself with God and thou shalt prove
The healing power of Love.
Anguish and fear shall cease,
There shall be joy and peace.
Upon the waters—see the Spirit move!

Acquaint thyself with God and thou shalt see
Man upright, strong, and free,
Dwelling in Soul's clear light,
Reflecting power and might,
Full radiance of His perfect purity.
