Peace is too precious a goal of civilization to be dealt with as lightly as our times are dealing with it. There is no short and easy path to peace—though we rejoice that mankind is today more peace-minded than ever before in history. But before peace can come to bless the earth, the conditons of peace must first be fulfilled.

When the army of heaven broke through the silence of the skies above the Bethlehem hills with a new song of promise, their message was, "Peace on earth among men of good will." These are God's own terms of peace. ...
