I had my first healing in Christian Science fifteen years...
I had my first healing in Christian Science fifteen years ago. I was despondent and sick; I had been suffering for years from what seemed to be sinus trouble. The disease was so complicated that the doctors could offer me no encouragement. A friend who had just become interested in Christian Science asked me to try it. I knew nothing whatever about this Science, but was willing to try anything. She took me to a practitioner, and I was very much uplifted and was healed of other ailments of long standing; but the sinus trouble did not seem to yield. I kept up the study, never becoming discouraged, and grew happier all the while. The disease gradually decreased until I realized that it had disappeared. I was so thankful for many other beautiful healings and blessings which I received during this time that I did not have room for discouragement on account of the slow healing.
It is impossible for me to express in words my gratitude for Christian Science. One of the things for which I am most grateful is class instruction. I am also grateful for our teachers and practitioners; for the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly; for the knowledge that evil is unreal, and that regardless of what the appearance may be, all is good, and Love is everywhere. My prayer is for a better understanding, and I try to know each day that I am receptive to this great truth. I am grateful for the understanding of God which Christian Science gives us, and that I can prove its teachings.—(Miss) Hazel D. Haas, Fort Worth, Texas.
