While the physical healings and numberless other blessings which have come to me since taking up the study of Christian Science have been truly remarkable, I am most grateful for having found the true way of Life as Love. I have learned more and more to reflect that spiritual love radiating impartially, eternally, from the Love which is God, so beautifully and practically explained in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This is the greatest blessing that can come to anyone. Realizing most fully the grandeur and practical utility of this new-found understanding of divine Love in the everyday experience of mankind, Mrs. Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 307): "What a glorious inheritance is given to us through the understanding of omnipresent Love! More we cannot ask: more we do not want: more we cannot have."

Through gaining a more demonstrable understanding of divine Love I was healed some years ago of dysentery or colitis. This problem, however, persisted for nearly two years, and during that time I was often tempted to avoid certain foods. So long as this notion was yielded to, no progress was apparent. Daily reading and study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, and also Mrs. Eddy's other writings, together with our interesting literature, helped me more fully to understand and realize that in the realm of infinite, ever-present Love there is nothing to irritate or to be irritated by, and therefore there can be no sense of irritation. Holding constantly to this spiritual truth regardless of all material evidence, and rejecting every thought of food as a hindrance or help, I was healed.

A tendency to have very severe and frequent headaches has also been overcome. These attacks would last for two or three days at a time, but by persistently declaring the truth that animal magnetism, or aggressive mental suggestion, has no place or power where Love, or God, is—and there is no place where He is not—I was healed of susceptibility to these disturbances. A tendency to take cold easily has also disappeared.
