Joy and Deliverance
How often are those unenlightened by Christian Science bowed with sickness, sin, poverty, and fear of the morrow! Amidst this sense of discord, they ask, How is it possible to obey the Scriptural command, "Rejoice in the Lord alway"?
Christian Science shows us that no matter how seemingly hopeless the situation, or how distressing the condition, our tender, all-loving Father-Mother God is ever present to bless us and to meet the human need, if we will only turn unreservedly to Him and trust Him absolutely.
We learn in Christian Science that the testimony of the senses, whether it be manifested, as sickness, sin, lack, or in any other of its myriad forms, is unreal, because it is not supported by the law of God, good. Material sense limits and obscures spiritual vision, for it can only see things from a material standpoint. It turns thought toward the body and mortal man, to an uncertain sense of employment, and to the concept of a material universe with its accompanying woes.
