It is with a great desire to express in some measure the deep gratitude I feel for the many manifestations of good which have come to my family and me through the study and application of Christian Science that I send this testimony.
With my first faint glimpse of this truth I was enabled, during a severe epidemic of influenza, to take a firm stand against all the approaching symptoms of that disease and to care for a family of four who were already suffering with it; and within twenty-four hours all symptoms had disappeared. Other members of the family were under medical care and were many days recovering, and three of them suffered from bad aftereffects. The youngest, who shared somewhat the spiritual sense to which I was endeavoring to cling, recovered more quickly.
The first healing in the home proved a great encouragement in meeting the many other problems which followed during the regeneration of a family greatly discouraged by continued illness and afflicted with a chronic state of fear.
