I wish to acknowledge with much gratitude the healings I have experienced through Christian Science. My first healing took place while I was attending college. At that time I was not very deeply interested in Science, although I had attended the Christian Science Sunday School for two or three years prior to entering college. One morning at college I was attacked with alternate chills and fever. I thought it was not serious and so did nothing for it. However, by evening I was considerably worse. I did nothing to overcome the attack until the evening of the third day, but attended my classes as usual, although I seemed to be feeling worse all the time. I had no desire to use medicine, and none of my friends suggested it; neither had I thought to apply Christian Science. The third evening it was evident that something must be done, as I was not able to sit up, and my sister asked me if I would like to have treatment by a Christian Science practitioner. I consented, and she called a practitioner, who began treatment at once. I soon fell asleep, and awoke in the morning completely healed.

After graduating from college I went to a small community where I knew no one. Before long I realized that I needed something which I did not have, and I realized that I needed an understanding of God, so I took up the study of Christian Science in earnest. My study of this Science had lapsed, although I had had the healing mentioned above about two years previously. Soon after taking up the study in earnest I had a healing of pains in my lungs, for which I am very grateful. One of my associates at that time complained of sharp pains, especially when he stooped over. Shortly after hearing him tell of it I began to experience the same sort of pains. They continued for a week or more, during which time I searched the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, to learn the truth which would heal me. Sometimes the pains would awaken me at night when I turned quickly in sleep. One night I was thus awakened and instantly sat up in bed with my consciousness completely filled with the statement from Habakkuk, "Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity." The conscious realization of this truth healed me, and I went to sleep and have not had a return of that difficulty in the eleven years which have elapsed since that time.

I have also been healed of colds, headaches, the necessity of wearing glasses, and many other inharmonies.
