Although Christian Science had been brought to my attention many times, I had never investigated it. I had been a member of an orthodox church most of my life, and was skeptical as to the healing power of Christian Science.

In 1919, a physician told me I was suffering from a complete breakdown, but as I had given up medicine, he could not do anything for me but suggest quiet and rest. After a few days I went out and secured a position, and after a short time in my new work I found that everyone there was a Christian Scientist. I took up the study of this Science, and was healed of many discordant conditions. I called a practitioner for help and received an instantaneous healing of a physical difficulty which I had had for over two years, also of another so-called hereditary trouble. I knew I had "touched the hem of the Christ garment" (No and Yes, by Mrs. Eddy, p. 22), and was made whole. The way these healings came proved to me what Christian Science healing is. For more than sixteen years I have placed radical reliance on Truth, and it has met my every need.

I am most grateful to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her untiring efforts in bringing this truth to suffering humanity, healing and regenerating mankind. I wish to express my gratitude for being one of many in this great movement. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for class instruction.
