Through Eyes of Love

Lord, let me look through eyes of love,
With Christliness that sees to heal;
With eyes that look beyond, above,
And glimpse the holy and the real.

Lord, give me understanding eyes.
Let me reject earth's dreams and say,
My Father sees not error's lies,
Nor can I see them on life's way.

Then shall I know my brother right,
Without a taint of flesh or sin.
Thus may he gain the vision bright,
And let the Christ abide within.

Ah, Lord, I would, through eyes of love,
Discern the summit of true being,
And here Thy loving purpose prove—
So, share Thy joy of perfect seeing.
