During the past eight years Christian Science has been my only physician, and I am most grateful for the many blessings I have received.

My first experience with and knowledge of Christian Science was an instantaneous healing of tuberculosis. I had been having hemorrhages, one after another, for forty-eight hours. One of the best doctors in our town was called, but he said nothing could be done, that I would not last over a week. My wife then asked me to try Christian Science. I asked her what she knew about it. She replied, "Nothing, only it has healed others and it might help you." So I consented to try it.

Two of our friends who were Christian Science students very lovingly came to us and told us more about it, and then one of them sent a practitioner to me. He was very kind and loving in his talk. On leaving he said that it would be about an hour before he would give me a treatment. Words cannot express the feeling that came over me when I received the treatment. I left the bed, dressed, and had dinner with my family. The next morning I was up, attending to some business, and I went back to work the next day.
