It is over twenty-four years since I sent a testimony of healing to the Sentinel. I told of my experience of painless childbirth, and stated that I did not spend a single day in bed, and that on the third day I went for an hour's railway journey to do some shopping and be fitted for clothes. Several people said that I would suffer for all this, but I wish to say how very grateful I am that I have not suffered. I can honestly say I am a very healthy woman. I have not had many physical ills to overcome since I have studied Christian Science. I am very grateful for the feeling of protection which Science gives us in all our seeming difficulties.

Some time ago I had a return of an ear trouble which had bothered me severely in childhood; but with a practitioner's help pain stopped within half an hour of my asking for help, and the difficulty was soon overcome. In my own family I have seen wonderful recoveries take place after motor accidents, also appendicitis healed in a day, though all arrangements for an operation had been made by the doctor.

I am grateful for our literature and our church services, and for active membership in a Christian Science Society. I am very grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the wonderful patience and love she manifested in teaching Christian Science against much opposition, and its proof of healing all over the world. I am trying to improve in character so as to be worthy of calling myself a Christian Scientist.—(Mrs.) Mary Barratt, Sheringham, Norfolk, England.
