I wish to express my gratitude for the healing efficacy of Christian Science as brought to the world by its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy.

Several years ago I was serving as soloist in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. One of the problems with which I had always been confronted was that of susceptibility to colds and the loss of my voice. In this particular instance when the appearance of cold presented itself, there came too, as in the past, the overwhelming sense of fear that I should not be in good voice, or that I might not be able to sing at all. As a consequence, the condition seemed more stubborn and severe than usual, and I lost my voice. As Sunday drew near it seemed necessary to call for the help of a Christian Science practitioner; the help was given, but on Saturday the condition was not improved. The practitioner assured me with words of Truth that I would be in my place on Sunday morning, but I persisted in being skeptical and fear seemed to predominate. Then the practitioner gave me the following references from Psalms to study and ponder: "The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty;" "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him;" "My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up."

Upon awakening Sunday morning I was free from the difficulty, and that day I was in my right place, and "with my song" I did praise Him.
