I wish to express sincere gratitude to God for the blessings I have received. I am particularly grateful for harmony and health, and especially for the honor of being accepted as a member of The Mother Church.

I came to Christian Science when I was broken in health, spirit, substance, and mind. My first healing came with a visit to a Christian Science Reading Room, where I found the peace which corrected my mental state. My second healing was of lack. The supply which came to me lasted sufficiently long for me to meet my needs and pay my debts. My third healing came shortly after I received a terrible shock, which robbed me of everything I held dear, but which took me completely into Christian Science, and right up to the throne of grace. This healing was of a disease that had passed through five generations of my family, and was dooming me to an early grave. For all these healings I am very grateful. During the past five years I have had many blessings through Christian Science, and I owe all that I have to its wonderful teaching.

Two physical healings have been made manifest to me at Christian Science services. Some years ago, while playing golf, I injured myself internally, suffering great agony; but with the constant declaration of the fact that God is Love I was able to finish the game without my partner or our opponents being aware that anything was amiss. Although I worked faithfully throughout the night, I was unable to find relief. I experienced difficulty in leaving my bed and preparing for church next morning. However, during these preparations the thought came to me that I should get my healing at church. I clung to the angel-message without asking how or when. It was our beautiful communion service, and when we were invited to kneel in silent prayer I was quietly and humbly awaiting divine guidance. My thought was filled with the words I had recently read in a lecture, "Teach me to love—that little children's eyes may light with confidence and joy when they meet mine," and with the sincerity of this prayer in my heart my healing came, and I arose from my knees whole and free from all pain and fear.
