I wish to express my deep appreciation and gratitude for the little knowledge I have of Christian Science. This wonderful truth came into my experience over twenty-five years ago, at which time I was suffering from a great sense of grief on account of the passing on of a loved one. At that time I accepted a position as secretary with a large corporation. In the same office where I was employed, I noticed one young lady who seemed to radiate much love, kindness, calmness, and happiness. I asked her what made her feel so happy all the time. She told me that she was a student of Christian Science, also that she had been healed of an incurable disease. I told her of my miserable mental state and asked her if Science would help me. She assured me that what it was doing for her, it would certainly do for me, provided I was willing to study it faithfully, as God is no respecter of persons. She handed me a copy of the Sentinel and told me to read it. I said: "Would I have to believe in Jesus? You know I am a Jewess." She made the remark that I would not have to believe in anything, but instead to read and find out the truth for myself. Out of courtesy to her I took the Sentinel home, and after making sure that nobody would see me, I opened it and began to read. After reading it, I began to realize that Christian Science was the thing I had been looking for all my life. It was indeed a revelation to me, and I was healed of the grief instantaneously, and a great sense of peace and joy came into our home. I also saw very clearly that Christ Jesus was the Messiah the Jewish people had been looking for. He said, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." Through the teachings of Christian Science I am learning how to be a real daughter of Israel.

Our two boys were born in Science, and they know nothing but God as their Physician. In all their problems, whether physical or otherwise, they turn to this wounderful truth as naturally as the flowers turn to the sunshine. We have experienced healings of blood poisoning, influenza, croup, various so-called children's diseases, and other discordant conditions.

Christian Science has given me a love and reverence for the Bible, which for many years had been a closed book, as I never read it until I became a student of Christian Science. Now I can say with the Psalmist, that it is indeed "a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."—(Mrs.) Anna Rosenbaum Guiver, Los Angeles, California.
