The Lectures
Introductions to Lectures
Manchester, New Hampshire (First Church).
Lecturer: Charles V. Winn; introduced by Mrs. Belle K. Butterfield, who said:—
In 1909, at a time of great need for physical healing, I was in despair because of an operation that was to be performed at the end of three days. As I reached out to God for guidance, the "still small voice" of Truth gave me this message: "Why not try Christian Science? It will not hurt you." I decided then to ask a practitioner for treatment, and found instant relief, and permanent healing inside of two weeks. After twelve years of bondage this was conclusive proof of Jesus' words to those that believed on him, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
