Be Still

Be still, O struggling heart, the Father knows
Your need before you ask—
His promised presence with you always goes
Whate'er the present task.

Be still, O weary heart, beneath His wing
Your refuge is, so blest;
Today your heart need only soar and sing,
To find in God your rest.

Be still, O trusting heart, the Father's love
From error brings release,
And in obedience to His law you prove
In God is perfect peace.

Be still, O faithful heart, the Father's blessed.
No terror can surround
Man in His image—this is God's behest,
With loving-kindness crowned.
