On Sunday, May 16, the chairman and secretary were present at the service held at Clinton Prison, Dannemora. The service was well attended and the men were attentive throughout. The chariman attended the services at Attica Prison alone, as this is the only institution where women are not allowed to attend the services at the present time. It was with a sense of gratitude and joy that he witnessed the hearty greeting received by the Readers on their arrival. This welcome came from the prison officials, and the inmates as well, and continued throughout the service and his stay. These men come to the services during a period that they are allowed to use for outdoor recreation. These renewed visits to the various institutions are revealing an awakened interest on the part of both the workers and the inmates, a greater sense of unity and government by divine Principle and a clearer understanding of the teachings of Christian Science.
