"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy."

Many years ago Christian Science was presented to me, and through its ministrations I was redeemed from "the last enemy." From birth I had been almost constantly under the care of doctors and taking their remedies. My physician had informed my family that I could never get well, and that I should not live more than six weeks. Then it was that this glorious truth was presented to me. It so quickened and aroused me to a recognition of the true sense of life that my healing quickly followed. The realization of the fact that God is my life, that it is not dependent upon matter, subject to mortal laws, or to disease of any kind, brought my release from suffering. Christian Science proved to be the "pearl of great price" for which I had been seeking.

Immediately I commenced to search the Scriptures for an understanding of this law which had so beautifully restored me to health. I read the accounts of healing performed by Jesus and his apostles; the Bible passages became illumined, revealing the living, inspiring truth, present and powerful now to heal all ills as effectively as in our Master's day. The joy and inspiration of that spiritual awakening have remained, ever blessing and inciting me to more consecrated study and endeavor to put into practice the counsel of Jesus, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
