It is with deepest gratitude that I testify to my healing in Christian Science, and to the peace and confidence it has brought into my life.

When this Science found me I was a confirmed invalid, suffering from kidney and lung troubles. I had sought help from physicians and was nothing better. All to whom I thought I could look for help had given me up to die. Then the Scriptural promise was literally fulfilled, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up," for it was not until this extremity came that I turned completely away from earth to heaven. I rested in the "secret place of the most High," until God was declared unto me by a neighbor who had recently been healed in Christian Science of a so-called incurable disease.

She read to me from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 140), and from this wonderful book I learned that "the Christian Science God is universal, eternal, divine Love, which changeth not and causeth no evil, disease, nor death." A practitioner's services were secured and a copy of Science and Health was ordered from Boston, there being no Christian Science church or Reading Room near us at the time. When the book came I began reading it. The pages seemed illumined. I was not conscious of a sick body, but only of the grand harmony of being. It was the "incorporeal impartation of divine Love to man" (Science and Health, p. 309) which restored my health, for when I began to make application of the rules of Christian Science to my bodily needs and daily problems, I found that I was well. I had been completely healed of pneumonia, pleurisy, sciatic rheumatism, and kidney trouble. The healing has been permanent.
