With a heart full of joy and gratitude to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for having given us the truth in Christian Science, I wish to give this testimony.

When I first began to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I criticized it, comparing it with other healing methods I had previously studied. Suddenly the thought came to me that if this book held the truth, I should never gain it if my mental attitude were one of criticism; whereupon I began at the first page to read it with an open mind. I had been treated by three well-known eye specialists, had had two operations, and was told I should always have to wear glasses; but even after the operations and with glasses I suffered much pain and discomfort. Within three weeks my eyes were healed; the pain left me and I have never had to use glasses again.

Through the study of the textbook I have also been healed of acute indigestion, severe neuralgia, and the tendency to colds and sore throat. These ills just faded away. I have been healed of snake bite and bee sting, and the recovery of lost articles has also been successfully demonstrated. With the loving help of practitioners I have been instantaneously healed of a sever attack of influenza and have gained a better understanding of supply.
