Our Desire

ALICE DEARDS WISE

As we journey, journey onward,
Keep our feet in paths of peace.
As we journey, journey onward,
May our love for Thee increase.

Give us wisdom, understanding,
Keep our eyes well stayed on Thee,
Far beyond this mortal vision,
Till we see as Thou dost see.

We would waken in Thy likeness,
But no power apart from Thine
Can destroy this mortal darkness
And reveal Thy truth divine.
