With a heart full of profound gratitude I give this testimony. Since the winter of 1911 Christian Science has been my only physician. I have been healed of many physical ailments, my first healing being of indigestion and constipation, which were overcome the third day by the help of a practitioner. Although the healing of a mental condition took almost a year, no material remedy was used. Later a clot of blood dissolved and passed through the nostrils the night after I asked for help. At the birth of my first child, after I was thirty-two, an alarming condition was healed instantaneously by a practitioner.

Many ills have been healed in our family of seven, among them measles, mumps, whooping cough, burns, colds, influenza, toothache, earache, ivy poisoning, and broken bones, one boy having a greenstick break. Fear caused him to have it set by a physician; but in two weeks he was able to take off the splints, and the day after that to play ball at school. Mexicon itch was so quickly healed, after we asked for a treatment, that the neighbors asked what had caused it to leave so suddenly.

Through a Christian Science lecture I was healed of the fear of sitting or sleeping in a draft; and every day I give thanks to God for His kindness and mercy, compassion and justice. I am beginning to understand the verses in II Corinthians: "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them;" and also the statement on page 145 of Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, "If there is any mystery in Christian healing, it is the mystery which godliness always presents to the ungodly,—the mystery always arising from ignorance of the laws of eternal and unerring Mind."
