It is with a heart filled with gratitude to God for His law that I write this testimony. It is seven years since I first found this "pearl of great price." I was a member of a Protestant church, but I was never contented with what I received there.

When my children were small we lived on a farm. One morning on looking through the daily paper I came upon a few lines stating that a Christian Science church was to be built at Plymouth, Michigan. I gathered my babies under my arm and thought, Oh, what next? I was as afraid of Christian Science as I would have been of a smallpox case. I had never heard and good of it. Years later I became a practical nurse and was called on a case which doctors had given up. As I was not well, I was taking three different kinds of medicine at that time, and was also under the doctor's care. A friend came in and asked us to try Christian Science and gave us some Sentinels to read, also "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I had read for about a week when I began to see that Christian Science was just what I wanted, and I began to feel very happy. One morning I told the patient that I was going to throw away all my medicines but the one I used for a sore throat, adding that if Christian Science could heal others, why could it not heal me? I have never needed that medicine, thank God.

I have been healed of high blood pressure with the help of a practitioner, and of lumbago by reading Science and Health, also of colds and burns, and of a dislocated shoulder.
